Our Story
After 8 years of self-research, tastings, and hosting wine and food pairing classes, Anissa Wakefield Wines was founded in 2017 by Rada Griffin - an engineer by day, private chef by night - and Alabama’s first certified black female winemaker.
Anissa Wakefield Wines specializes in small batch vintages, created to drink alone or pair with any food combination imaginable.
The label’s first vintage from 2018 - a white blend of Chardonnay and Roussanne varietals was a unique and unapproached blend in the wine industry during that time. The 2021 and beyond vintages, inspire to be just as bold and interesting with a blend of up to 6 varietals!!
Anissa Wakefield Wines is “For Every Occasion”
Cheers!
